PokeMed is a convenient healthcare app that allows patients to view their patient registration card, check appointment information, and receive important notices on a smartphone. This guide explains the registration process in three simple steps for first-time users.

Download the app
Search for “PokeMed” on the App Store or Google Play and download the app.

Create an account
Enter your email address, password, and other required information to create your account.

Complete registration at the hospital reception counter
Please bring your smartphone with PokeMed installed to the reception counter at Kano General Hospital.
What you can do with PokeMed
You can check useful information for your hospital visits on your smartphone. The app can also help you manage appointments for family members.
Display your patient registration card
You can display and manage your own patient registration card, as well as those of your family members, within the app.
Receive appointment notifications
The app can notify you before your scheduled appointment, such as on the day before your visit.
Check the number of patients waiting
You may be able to check the approximate number of patients waiting for outpatient consultation on your smartphone.
Check billing history
You may be able to check medical fees and billing history for your hospital visits.

How to create a PokeMed account

Download the app
If you use an iPhone, search for “PokeMed” on the App Store. If you use an Android device, search for “PokeMed” on Google Play.

Select new account registration
Open the app and select “New Registration” or “Account Registration.”

Review the Terms of Use
Review the information, check “I agree,” and proceed to the next step.

Enter the required information
Enter your name, email address, password, and other required items shown on the screen.

Complete user registration at our hospital reception counter
Please bring your smartphone with PokeMed installed to the reception counter at Kano General Hospital. Our staff will assist you with the registration process.
If you are unsure how to operate your smartphone, you may register together with a family member.
Please proceed through the registration process step by step while checking each screen. If you have concerns about using your smartphone, please feel free to ask at our reception counter.
