Chemotherapy Room

Chemotherapy involves the use of anticancer drugs to treat cancer. While cancer treatment includes various modalities such as surgery, radiation therapy, hormone therapy, and immunotherapy, chemotherapy remains a cornerstone of treatment. Our hospital actively incorporates chemotherapy for cancer patients. Our specialists primarily administer appropriate chemotherapy regimens for various types of cancer, including gastric and colorectal cancer, in strict accordance with clinical guidelines. Each regimen—whether administered in an outpatient setting or requiring hospitalization—is reviewed by our Chemotherapy Committee to ensure careful implementation with full consideration of the patient’s Quality of Life (QOL).

Pharmacist preparing anticancer medication in a clean bench
For the administration of anticancer drugs, a thin tube (catheter) may be implanted into a blood vessel. Pharmacists calculate the precise dosage tailored to each patient and mix the medications within a clean bench to ensure safety and sterility.

Chemotherapy for Unresectable Advanced or Recurrent Colorectal Cancer

We utilize treatment methods that combine multiple anticancer drugs and molecular targeted therapies. The continuation or modification of treatment is evaluated based on the drug’s effectiveness and the patient’s general physical condition.
