The Department of Neurosurgery at Kano General Hospital was established in 1996. We specialize in stroke care and head trauma while actively implementing minimally invasive techniques such as neuroendovascular and neuroendoscopic surgery.

Our Stroke Center operates a 24/7 emergency hotline and is certified as a Primary Stroke Center (PSC). We provide advanced acute treatments including t-PA thrombolysis and mechanical thrombectomy.
