Pharmacy Department

In the Pharmacy Department, we collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other staff to ensure that drug therapy for each patient is carried out safely and effectively. We play a key role in team medicine by devising dosage forms, selecting storage methods, providing information on the proper use of drugs, and offering medication guidance.

Primary Responsibilities

Pharmacy Department Primary Responsibilities

Category Description of Duties
Dispensing Verification of history, dosage, and drug interactions.
Aseptic Preparation Safe mixing of injectable drugs in clean benches.
Ward Management Initial interviews and medication guidance for inpatients.
Drug Information (DI) Collection and organization of the latest pharmaceutical data.

Cancer Chemotherapy & Regimen Management

Cancer chemotherapy uses anticancer and molecular-targeted drugs. Since side effects are common and errors can be life-threatening, we use “Cancer Chemotherapy Regimens”—a precise chronological plan specifying dosage, speed, and withdrawal periods—to ensure patient safety.

Medication Guidance & Pharmaceutical Management

Pharmacists explain medications to inpatients, check for interactions with home medications, and manage hospital-wide drug inventory and safety procedures. We also monitor narcotics and muscle relaxants used in operating rooms.

Team Medicine

  • Infection Control Team (ICT): Monitoring and suppressing infectious diseases.
  • Antimicrobial Stewardship Team (AST): Ensuring appropriate use of antimicrobial therapy.
  • Nutrition Support Team (NST): Proposing optimal nutritional therapies for patients.
