Surgery

Department Overview

The Department of Surgery at our hospital is affiliated with Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine and certified by major surgical societies in Japan.

We provide a wide range of surgical treatments centered on gastrointestinal diseases, from conventional open surgery to minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures.

Postoperative care is supported by a dedicated High Care Unit (HCU), ensuring safe recovery after highly invasive procedures.

In collaboration with gastroenterology, we also perform non-invasive treatments such as EMR and ESD for early-stage cancers.

Gastric and Colorectal Cancer

Gastric and colorectal cancers are among the most common malignancies. Treatment is selected according to clinical guidelines based on disease stage.

Early-stage cancers are treated with laparoscopic surgery, while advanced cancers require resection with lymph node dissection. Multidisciplinary therapy is applied when necessary.

Palliative care is also integrated in cooperation with community healthcare providers.
