Is parking available?<\/summary>\n<div class=\"faq_answer\">\n<p><strong>A.<\/strong> A multi-story car park is available. Please note that there are size restrictions on vehicles that can enter. Can I have the gastroscopy performed under sedation (using a sedative to put me to sleep)?<\/summary>\n<div class=\"faq_answer\">\n<p><strong>A.<\/strong> At our center, gastroscopy is performed using local anesthesia applied to the nose or throat while the patient remains conscious.<br \/>\nWe do not offer gastroscopy under sedation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n<details class=\"faq_item\">\n<summary class=\"faq_question\">Q4. What is the difference between gastroscopy and an upper GI series (barium swallow)?<\/summary>\n<div class=\"faq_answer\">\n<p><strong>A.<\/strong> Gastroscopy allows direct observation of the gastric mucosa, enabling the detection of lesions in the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum.<br \/>\nIf necessary, a tissue biopsy of the gastric mucosa can also be performed. An upper GI series (barium swallow) involves spreading barium thinly inside the stomach and examining its shape and surface irregularities using X-ray.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #ff0000;\">The following individuals are not eligible for an upper GI series (barium swallow):<\/span><br \/>\n\u2460 Those who are pregnant or may be pregnant (Please contact us if you are breastfeeding).<br \/>\n\u2461 Those with a history of hypersensitivity to barium preparations.<br \/>\n\u2462 Those with a history of intestinal obstruction.<br \/>\n\u2463 Those who have had a colorectal polyp removed within the past 2 months.<br \/>\n\u2464 Those who have undergone abdominal or orthopedic surgery, or experienced a myocardial infarction or cerebral infarction within the past year.<br \/>\n\u2465 Those on fluid restrictions due to kidney disease (dialysis) or similar conditions.<br \/>\n\u2466 Those who have difficulty maintaining a standing position independently or holding the handrail of the imaging table.<br \/>\n\u2467 Those weighing 120 kg or more.<br \/>\n\u2468 There may be cases where the examination cannot be performed depending on your condition on the day or responses to the health questionnaire.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n<details class=\"faq_item\">\n<summary class=\"faq_question\">Q5. Is the gastroscopy performed through the mouth?<\/summary>\n<div class=\"faq_answer\">\n<p><strong>A.<\/strong> You may choose either nasal or oral insertion.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n<details class=\"faq_item\">\n<summary class=\"faq_question\">Q6. Are there any weight restrictions?<\/summary>\n<div class=\"faq_answer\">\n<p><strong>A.<\/strong> Individuals weighing 120 kg or more may not be able to undergo certain examinations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n<details class=\"faq_item\">\n<summary class=\"faq_question\">Q7. Can I bring my child with me?<\/summary>\n<div class=\"faq_answer\">\n<p><strong>A.<\/strong> We do not have facilities available for childcare.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n<details class=\"faq_item\">\n<summary class=\"faq_question\">Q8. How long does it take to receive the examination report?<\/summary>\n<div class=\"faq_answer\">\n<p><strong>A.<\/strong> Reports will be mailed to you within 2 to 3 weeks.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n<details class=\"faq_item\">\n<summary class=\"faq_question\">Q9. What happens if an abnormality is found in my results?<\/summary>\n<div class=\"faq_answer\">\n<p><strong>A.<\/strong> In cases requiring urgent attention, we will arrange for you to be seen immediately.<br \/>\nIf you would like a referral letter, we will prepare one and provide it to you.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n<details class=\"faq_item\">\n<summary class=\"faq_question\">Q12. What is the difference between a head CT and a brain MRI?<\/summary>\n<div class=\"faq_answer\">\n<p><strong>A.<\/strong> Both CT and MRI produce cross-sectional images. CT uses X-rays, while MRI uses a powerful magnet and radio waves \u2014 meaning there is no radiation exposure with MRI. CT is particularly effective for detecting hemorrhagic lesions, such as trauma, cerebral hemorrhage, and subarachnoid hemorrhage. MRI is better suited for detecting tumors, degenerative diseases, subacute and chronic cerebrovascular disorders (stroke), and micro-infarctions.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #ff0000;\">Important notes regarding MRI<\/span><br \/>\nThe following individuals are not eligible for MRI examination at our hospital:<br \/>\n\u25cf Those with a cardiac pacemaker, stimulation electrodes, cochlear implant, or similar device<br \/>\n\u25cf Those who are pregnant or may be pregnant<\/p>\n<p>The following individuals may not be eligible for MRI examination at our hospital:<br \/>\n\u25cf Those with metal implants in the body, such as cerebral aneurysm clips or artificial joints<br \/>\n\u25cf Those with claustrophobia or difficulty in enclosed spaces<br \/>\n\u25cf Those unable to remain in the same position for an extended period<\/p>\n<p>Brain Dock MRI\/MRA results will be finalized after review by a specialist physician.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n<\/div>\n<p><!-- \/.faq_list (Q1\u2013Q12) --><!-- [\u4fee\u6b63] \u30a4\u30f3\u30e9\u30a4\u30f3\u30b9\u30bf\u30a4\u30eb\u524a\u9664 \u2192 faq_section_label \u30af\u30e9\u30b9\u3067\u7ba1\u7406 --><\/p>\n<p class=\"faq_section_label\">For Female Patients<\/p>\n<p><!-- [\u65b0\u898f\u8ffd\u52a0] FAQ \u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u30b3\u30f3\u30c6\u30ca Q13\u2013Q15 --><\/p>\n<div class=\"faq_list\">\n<details class=\"faq_item\">\n<summary class=\"faq_question\">Q13. Can I have my check-up while menstruating?<\/summary>\n<div class=\"faq_answer\">\n<p><strong>A.<\/strong> For the stool examination, a sample collected before or after your period can be used.<br \/>\nFor the urine examination, if the sample was collected within one week of your visit, it is possible to bring it in on the day of your appointment.<br \/>\nFor those scheduled for cervical cytology, the examination can be performed as long as bleeding is not heavy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n<details class=\"faq_item\">\n<summary class=\"faq_question\">Q14. Should I choose mammography or breast ultrasound for breast cancer screening?<\/summary>\n<div class=\"faq_answer\">\n<p><strong>A.<\/strong> For women aged 40 and over, we recommend mammography, which can detect fine calcifications and small lumps that are difficult to feel \u2014 both early signs of breast cancer.<br \/>\nFor younger women or those with high breast density (dense breasts), lumps may be harder to detect with mammography, so breast ultrasound is recommended.<br \/>\nUndergoing both examinations leads to even earlier detection.<br \/>\n(Mammography is not available for those who have had breast augmentation surgery, are fitted with a pacemaker, or have a VP shunt.)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n<details class=\"faq_item\">\n<summary class=\"faq_question\">Q15.
