Medical Safety Management Department<\/h2>\n

Kano General Hospital operates based on our fundamental philosophy: “Practicing Patient-Centered Medicine<\/strong>.” To ensure patients receive care with peace of mind, we continuously work to enhance safety, prevent medical accidents, and reduce the risk of recurrence.<\/p>\n

  2. Near-Miss Reporting:<\/strong> All staff members report accidents and near-miss experiences to examine countermeasures and improve situation handling.<\/li>\n
  3. Rapid Response:<\/strong> In the event of an accident, we provide immediate medical care and establish a rapid reporting system.<\/li>\n
  4. Root Cause Analysis:<\/strong> We focus on “what” and “why” to identify systemic factors and prevent recurrence, rather than pursuing individual responsibility.<\/li>\n
  5. Informed Consent:<\/strong> We foster a safety culture through thorough explanations and obtaining patient consent before treatment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n

    Medical Safety Structure<\/h3>\n

    The Medical Safety Management Committee, comprising risk managers from each department, coordinates all organized efforts to promote medical safety activities across the hospital.<\/p>\n

    Medical Safety Management Office<\/h3>\n

    Established in December 2012, this office is led by a dedicated medical safety manager (nurse) who collaborates with safety officers for medical devices and pharmaceuticals to prevent clinical accidents.<\/p>\n
