Our doctors choose treatment based on symptoms, activity level, joint condition, and the degree of deformity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"KoteiPage_Text\">If pain does not improve with conservative treatments, such as intra-articular injections or rehabilitation, surgery may be considered. The goal is to reduce pain, improve joint function, and support daily life.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"KoteiPage_SubTitle KoteiPage_SubTitle--sub\">Joint Surgery<\/h4>\n<h4 id=\"area1\" class=\"KoteiPage_SubTitle KoteiPage_SubTitle--sub\">Osteoarthritis of the Knee and Hip<\/h4>\n<p class=\"KoteiPage_Text\">Osteoarthritis can cause joint pain, stiffness, and difficulty walking. ACL tears and meniscus injuries may cause pain, instability, and difficulty moving the knee.<\/p>\n<p class=\"KoteiPage_Text\">If these injuries remain untreated, joint instability may continue. In some cases, this can also contribute to the progression of osteoarthritis.<\/p>\n<div class=\"Pg_TextBlock\">\n<ul class=\"Pg_InfoList\">\n<li class=\"Pg_InfoList_Item\"><b>ACL Reconstruction:<\/b> For ACL injuries, we perform a double-bundle, two-route reconstruction using the semitendinosus and gracilis tendons.<\/li>\n<li class=\"Pg_InfoList_Item\"><b>Meniscus Repair:<\/b> Meniscus tears are sometimes treated by partial removal. However, removing the meniscus can increase stress on the joint. For this reason, we prioritize meniscal sutures whenever possible to preserve the natural joint structure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"KoteiPage_Text\">Patients who are considering treatment should check the outpatient schedule before visiting.
